Dr. Ian McMorris is a specialist in Marketing and Strategic Management and holds a PhD and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Recent projects have include the “Innovation to Profit” project for Enterprise Ireland, and the RTD Mapping Study for InterTrade Ireland, the study on Ireland’s internationalisation of Science Technology and Innovation for the Advisory Council, a study for Enterprise Ireland on the impact of Ireland’s membership of the European Space Agency, a Food Strategy for Scotland for Scottish Enterprise and was the Independent Scorer for the Ireland’s Employment Support Scheme.  He has also provided assistance to a wide variety of private sector clients on both sides of the Border.

Ian was Managing Director of Ulster Weavers HF for 12 years.  Previously Ian was Director of PA's Strategy Practice in Ireland based in Dublin and was involved in a wide variety of assignments.  These included major sector reviews in Ireland and Northern Ireland and he was the co-author of the highly regarded food report for the Culliton Review. He was also involved in a number of product and process development projects alongside PA Technology in the Food, Electronics and Medical sectors. Assignments were for clients in Britain, Europe, the US and the Middle East. Prior to that Ian worked for IMS-Condon International, Dublin as a Senior Consultant on a variety of export marketing assignments.

Ian is a former Chairman of the CBI in Northern Irelandand was a member of the NI Economic Development Forum, and the Republic’s NEC.  He is currently on the Boards of Dale Farm and United Dairy Farmers.
